rpmproc.sourceforge.net

rpmproc is a simple perl program to help manage and build RPM packages for those who want an easy wrapper to build RPM packages. It was built at the same time I started the rpmhelp mailing list to further help out people new to building RPMs so that the Linux community can continue to receive more and more quality RPM packages.

The current version of rpmproc is 1.10.

Some of the features rpmproc currently has are:

• Announces changelogs to a defined mailing list
• Uses any SMTP mailer to send the email (by using perl-Mail-Sendmail)
• Signs RPMs with PGP or GnuPG
• Create multiple packages at the same time
• Can upload to a remote "contrib" FTP site (or via ssh)
• Can copy RPMs to a local directory tree (for use with systems that build and allow FTPing RPMs from the same computer)
